In a way, the specs and capabilities of the HTC U11+ more closely match what the original U11 should have been. The elongated display falls in line with the trends of 2017, the capacious battery sticks it to phablet-sized rivals like the S8+, Note 8 and…

If I were grading this thing on good taste, I’d have to give it a 1. But since we try to at least be a little objective in our grading here at AndroidGuys, I gotta rate it fairly. Display, Internals, and Build Quality are all high marks, but Battery…

A really great phone which, in my view, is tarnished by Marmite design due to the mirror finish. Also somewhat lacking in the battery and display. The audio, performance, software, and camera, however, are all superb. Well worth considering and weighing…

Almost 4000 words in and I’ve barely mentioned one important aspect related to the U11: its price. That’s because I wanted to let the phone’s design and performance speak for themselves, and I believe they have done so quite clearly. But before I go on,…

HTC was once one of the industry’s top Android manufacturers. The company’s popularity began to go downhill in 2013, however, following the highly-praised HTC One M7. While the M8 featured more of the same greatness as its predecessor, the camera quality…

HTC U11 – Battery The HTC U11 features a 3000mAh battery, which, on a phone this size, is a little small. The dinky cell left me with serious concerns about the U11’s stamina, and following a week with the phone I’m still not convinced it will offer…

Buy HTC U11 for its top of the line specifications, beautiful design, and a good camera. The phone has all the qualities that a flagship should have, especially the audio quality is beyond admiration. A compelling smartphone that should be on the list…

HTC didn’t get everything right with the U11, but it nailed a whole lot more than I ever expected it to. That’s a big deal. After the mess that was the U Ultra, I was honestly unsure whether the company would ever drag itself out of its doldrums. The…

The HTC U11 looks and feels great but I recommend using it with a case that gives it a bit more purchase, without one it’s liable to slip from your grasp as you pull it from your pocket to take a photo.HTC has kept the camera controls relatively…

There’s a lot to like about the HTC U11 and while it certainly has flagship level specs, it’s hard to differentiate in the market against the likes of Samsung and LG. The glossy and colourful design is fresh but won’t be for everyone, even though we’re…

If we had paid the full launch price for an HTC U Ultra less than four months before the HTC U11, we’d be extremely put off with the company right now. The U Ultra is utterly and completely outclassed by the U11. We don’t miss the secondary screen at…

HTC can keep its Sense Companion and its squeezable Edge Sense controls. Those features work as advertised, but I don’t need ’em. The things that really makes the U11 stand out are its unique jewel-like design, thumping BoomSound speakers, superb…

By SlashGear on 90

The HTC U11 is a seriously good phone. HTC has combined beautiful design, superlative build quality, thoughtful features, and a restrained customization of Android. Problem is, I suspect few will ever actually see one. The U11 needs to be in front of as many potential customers as possible – more than that, it deserves to be – but instead it’s a Sprint exclusive.

The HTC U11 is available unlocked for $649, which I feel is a fair price for the phone considering the hardware and experience provided. Sure, phones like the OnePlus 5 and Xiaomi Mi 6 are cheaper, but I believe the U11 genuinely delivers superior hardware, a far better camera and Gigabit LTE support. If you’re after a phone in 2017, I think it’s safe to recommend the HTC U11. Saying those words is a bit of a surprise to me, but HTC deserves it.
